In Kenya, partnerships are helping expand access to quality maternal and newborn health services for women, newborns and families.
Implemented with support from UN Kenya through UNFPA, in strategic partnership with MSD for Mothers and the UN Foundation, the initiative is helping mobilise private sector investment to strengthen health systems and bring lifesaving care closer to communities.
Working with partners including the M-PESA Foundation, White Ribbon Alliance, AbbVie Biotech, JiJiHealth and DamuSasa, the initiative supports stronger health infrastructure, training for healthcare workers and Community Health Promoters, improved health financing and expanded access to services such as emergency obstetric care and blood management.
By bringing public, private and development partners together, the initiative is helping improve reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health services, so that more women can receive safe, dignified care during pregnancy and childbirth.
