First Global Conference on Blue Economy to be Held in Nairobi
Kenya and Canada will co-host the conference on the sustainable blue economy, on harnessing the potential of our oceans, seas, and rivers to improve lives
Kenya and Canada will co-host the first global conference on the sustainable blue economy in Nairobi from 26 to 28 November 2018, in an event expected to bring together over 4,000 participants from around the world.
Among the objectives of the event include discussions on pathways towards harnessing the potential of our oceans, seas, lakes and rivers to improve the lives of all, particularly people in developing states. There will also be discussions on latest innovations and best practices to build prosperity while conserving our waters for future generationsThe conference will capture concrete commitments and practical actions that can be taken today to help the world transition to the blue economy.
