Bringing health and nutrition services closer to families in Isiolo

In Isiolo County, vulnerable families are being supported to access health and nutrition services closer to where they live.

Led by the Ministry of Health and county governments, with support from UN Kenya through UNICEF, the programme is helping strengthen primary health care by making essential services more accessible, available and affordable.

The initiative supports the Primary Care Network and the Baby Friendly Community approach, bringing health and nutrition services together so that mothers, children and families can receive more integrated care.

By strengthening community-based services and linking families to primary health care, the programme is helping reduce barriers to care, improve nutrition support and support healthier children and communities in Isiolo.
