LNOB report “Leave no one behind. Peace and Conflict Analysis: Through the eyes of those at risk of being left behind” by UN Kenya and GoK March 2022

In his landmark address to the General Assembly on 10 September 2021, the Secretary General presented “Our Common Agenda”, which offers the world a vision based on solidarity and common cause.  The SG identified 12 priority action areas, of which “Leave no One Behind” is listed in first place.  “Leaving No One Behind” is the cardinal principle underpinning the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda – an Agenda, whose elaboration and adoption Kenya so proudly led.  No country, anywhere in the world, can hope for an economically, environmentally and societally durable development path without including all its citizens.  

In partnership with Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) and working directly with experts from the Ministry of Interior, the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), the University of Nairobi and leading civil society organizations,  the UN-Kenya has completed this landmark study that aims to identify those communities and groups in Kenya currently “at risk of being left behind” by the development process.  We believe this analysis will be vital in shaping UN future programming and addressing root causes of inequalities and conflicts.
