Kenya-Ethiopia Cross-Border Programme

The main objective of this cross-border and area-based programme is, in the short- run, to reduce vulnerability and increase resilience of communities affected by conflict in the border region through identification and promotion of sustainable livelihood projects and conflict management strategies. In the long-run, the programme aims to economically empower the communities through a judicious mix of socioeconomic transformative programmes that include infrastructure development, industrial and agricultural development projects, and the development of health and educational facilities.
